JCSPT is science based personal training based on The National Academy of Sports Medicine, Optimum Performance Training (OPT) model along with my own personal training method. The Jed Cronin Training Method, (JCTM) has been developed through my lifetime as a fitness professional, a professional athlete and a human being thats been fortunate enough to have walked this earth for 49 years and counting. I have had some astounding life experiences that have molded me into the fitness professional that I am today. Some very positive, some very negative but all have been very valuable learning experiences that I am grateful to be able to pass along to my clients through my personal training practice.
Before I became obsessed with training, I was already obsessed with lacrosse. I played year round from my sophomore year in high school until I turned 40 years young. I played collegiately, professionally and club. I played a ton of lax and had a ton of injuries but all of my serious injuries happened to the right side of my body and they were as follows; one broken foot, one broken ankle, one dislocated ankle, two separated shoulders and two mcl sprains,
I started my fitness career when I was 32 years old. I quickly embraced the injury prevention and performance side of personal training. It was through my education and understanding of the NASM principles and my own personal experiences with my body that made me have my breakthrough moment. Everything finally made sense and I understood why I kept having all of the reoccurring injuries with my right side and never with my left. I had developed some major imbalances and if I understood then, what I understand now, I could have prevented or at least given myself a much better chance of avoiding all of those right side injuries.
The primary focus of the JCTM is on how the body moves. If it isn’t moving correctly, it isn’t going to work well for long and injuries become the result of it. JCTM breaks down the body and uncovers the the underlying issues that have been holding you back. The JCTM will teach you what your particular body needs on a day to day basis so it can move as well as it can for as long as it can. With the JCTM its all about training smarter, not harder. The JCTM is designed to keep you in your game, whatever your game might be.
